Procrastination Pays Off...

...again. (I do have to note though that this was intentional procrastination.)


Remember last year when we decided to go to the beach at the last minute and snagged a condo for 50% off? Well we decided to intentionally wait to the last minute to see if we could get another great deal. I've been checking the realty web page every day to see if they have lowered their prices and to see which units were still available. We decided to upgrade to a 2 bedroom (since I wasn't really looking forward to sleeping on the fold out couch or sharing one (1!) bathroom with 2 teen girls.) They were down to 2 2 bedroom units left so I broke down and called today even though the best deal advertised was only $200 off (which isn't even $20 off).

When the realty agent asked if we have rented from them before I mentioned the great deal we got last year and damn if she didn't match it! So once again we are going to the beach for 50% off the rental price. The condo is a block from a grocery store, a beach store, a liquor store, an ice cream shack and a fantastic pizza place. Our condo (beach front of course) should be within view of the dock where they shoot fireworks off on the 4th (hopefully we can enjoy the show from our balcony and not have to sit next to the group of rednecks from last year who were shooting off their own illegal fireworks show which nearly hit us). The covered garage is nicely situated so that I can park near the beach access so we can store the beach paraphernalia each night and we won't have to lug it to the 11th floor every night. It has a nice pool and there are floodlights on the beach each night until around 11:00 or so.

Now I just have to find someone to watch the animals and garden while we are gone...
